What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for an advance notice of 24 hours for any cancelling or rescheduling a session for a different week. Cancellations or reschedules for a different week will be charged the full session fee. I do not charge for sudden cancellations due to illness, other emergency situations, or specific situation discussed between client and therapist.

Are sessions confidential?

Yes, one of the most important components of therapy is confidentiality between client and therapist. You can expect that what you say in sessions will not be shared with anyone unless you provide written authorization.

State law and professional ethics require therapists to maintain confidentiality except for the following situations:

• If therapist has reason to suspect you are in imminent danger to yourself or another person(s).

• If you disclose information that provides evidence of suspected or reported child abuse or elder abuse.

• In the rare occasion that the therapist is under mandated court order, in which therapist will continue to maintain as much confidentiality as possible.
